writeralley™ is a free local classifieds and community site dedicated to helping writers, musicians and artists showcase their work and talent to the music and publishing industry. Everyone is welcome to upload their writings, songs, artwork, photos and videos to attract a publisher, agent or seal a record deal. It's completely free!
The writeralley™ network also includes alleypedia, which is a free, open encyclopedia for the english-language publishing industry that anyone can edit, and also writerface.com, an online social network that connects writers across the globe. writeralley™ uses a .org domain to symbolize the non-corporate, public service nature of writeralley™.

Post a listing to advertise your manuscript, play or proposal to publishers, using the same kind of information as you would in a traditional submission to a book publisher (or literary agent) whom you wish to interest in your work. You can post query letters, articles, synopses, proposals or even sample chapters to attract the interest of browsing publishers, agents, bookscouts, producers and acquisitions' editors all over the United States.

What should I write in my manuscript listing, and how do I choose the right genre category?
The manuscript categories are based on the Library of Congress classification system for books. Select the most relevant genre for your manuscript or proposal. You're free to post as much or as little information about your work as you like. Here's a sample listing to help you get started.
Who owns the copyright to material I post on writeralley™?
You do. Please do not post any material that you do not own the copyright for. For more information, read our terms of use.
writeralley™ does not review users' postings. writeralley™ is not involved in the actual transactions between users. As most of the content on writeralley™ comes from other users, we do not guarantee the accuracy of postings or user communications or the quality, safety, or legality of what's offered.
Do I have to sign up for an account to post a listing?
No, but writeralley™ will send you confirmation email to activate your listing.
How long do listings last on writeralley™?
Standard listings automatically expire after 45 days. Featured listings expire after either 10 or 15 days, then continue to run in the regular listings.
What are featured listings and how much do they cost?
These are the listings that appear at the top of categories, so more people will see them. Featured listings cost $15 for 10 or $20 for 15 days, then they continue to run in the regular listings.

If you are a registered alleycat, then you can edit or delete your listing from your manager in "my alley". If you aren't a registered alleycat, look in your inbox for your original "posting confirmation" email from writeralley™. This email will have links to edit or delete your listing.
What should I do if I see a listing that I think is spam, offensive, miscategorized or illegal?

It started as a pet side project in the editorial dept of Schiel & Denver Book Publishers.
Who the heck are Schiel & Denver?
